IT’S TIME FOR A LITTLE BREAK
Have you ever gotten to that point in your life where something has just got to give a little in order to make room for everything else? I’ve been feeling that way a lot lately. Work and other commitments are crowding up on me to the point that at least a few things are just going to have to be set aside for awhile.
I’m afraid one of those is going to have to be Xanga.
I realize that anyone reading my posts would assume that I couldn’t possibly spend anytime writing them, but I’m slow, and spewing nonsense is taking up time I can’t afford right now. I’m not going away forever…just for the summer. I’ll be back in the fall and I promise to write posts even dumber than usual.
I hope everyone has a great summer. I’ll miss everyone while I’m gone.

Ok…fine. But just this once. I don’t want fall to roll around and you be all, “oh…I need a break.” Sorry buster…we need your humor to get us through our pitiful little lives. You’ll be missed…so get your sorry ass back soon! And good luck with the other stuff. I guess.
I’ll just come right out and say it….my heart is broken. Have a good summer. Of course I’ll be dead in the fall because of that little heart problem.

The only way I am allowing you to take a break is if you get Dave Barry to come out of retirement and write in your place. He’s the only person that even comes CLOSE to being as funny as you. Then I ask myself, is my life really so pitiful that I have to depend upon a person from Broken Arrow High School to get me through the day? I will just have to devote my summer to getting you a job as a syndicated newspaper columnist so I will have to pay to read you. You are too good to be writing for free. Will miss you terribly.
You are one of the very first Xangans I came across when I started here so long ago. It was because of people like you who were so welcoming and funny, that I (and many others) hung around long enough to get the hang of Xanga, and later, the addiction!
So, I know I’m getting all mushy here, but what I am trying to say, Mark, is that I sure hope you will truly be back soon! Enjoy your summer off, but if you don’t come back, there’ll be a posse on its way to Oklahoma to drag you back to your computer!!!
