SPA-TACULAR!
Rather than taking long vacations, my wife and I have started taking several short (three or four days over a weekend) vacations during the year. I will be away from Xanga for several days because we are leaving on one of these little excursions tomorrow.
This will be a first for me. We are going to spend three days at a spa resort in
The stay will consist of working out, yoga, lots of time by the pool, and strange people we don’t know rubbing funny smelling stuff into our naked bodies.

I’ll be back on Sunday night and I’ll try to give you an update on what a spa retreat is like. In the meantime, I’m a little concerned about the picture below that came off the spa’s website. Why would having a big rock on your crotch be considered therapeutic?

I love the idea of short trips throughout the year; maybe Hubby and I will try that too. Keep us posted on the hot rock business, ok? As for your earlier post, what a great book list! You listed several of my very favorites! How could I forget Jon Stewart’s America book???

I am in Tucson, a stones throw from Phoenix. Don’t worry too much about the 110 temps. We are in monsoon season and the rain has been pretty consistent. If it gets hot, it will cool off pretty quickly when the next rain comes by. Humidity, a typically rare thing, is abominably high these days. My daughter got her first ever mosquito bite due to the excessive moisture. Anyway, Scottsdale is a wonderful area. If you get a chance, get to the Cheesecake Factory. There are a couple in the malls. Well worth the effort if you love cheesecake and the food is quite amazing too. Have a good time!
What?! No pictures of your rocks? Well at least give us some with you all slathered up with funny smelling stuff.

Actually, the rocks are there so the masseuse can defend herself if you get any inappropriate ideas.

have fun at the spa. you’re spa suggestion for me. . . the candles, bathtub, vodka. well, my bathtub won’t hold water and my candles all burned out the last time we lost the electricity (we live in some really, top of the line apartments if you couldn’t tell). so i settled for storing some vodka in my car trunk. . . lunch break’s never looked so good.
Bummer, I was already picturing you and rock….rather freudian I’d say….LOL
You just took away all incentive to come back. It’s been so long since I’ve seen a good “rock on crotch” pic, I cannot even tell you !! Phooey, I say !!
I’m not sure about the “big rock thing”, but I’ve never heard anyone say they didn’t like a spa retreat, so I’m sure you’ll have a great time. Come back relaxed and stress-free, and tell us all about it.

Hmm. Your post said you’d be back this past Sunday and update. It’s now Wednesday. I’m wondering if there was a mishap with the rocks? Come across with the pictures!!
