THE TWO FACES OF JORDAN
I’ve written often about my son. He is a neuroscientist at Baylor University and there is no parent on the planet more proud of their child than I am. Here is a picture of Jordan in his lab:
Here is a picture of Jordan on the weekends:
Hey, even neuroscientists have to unwind.

I like how you are so fair and balanced… you know, telling both sides of a person, issue, etc. He looks like a keeper for sure.
Have you others? I have three sons… and I, too, am a very proud Momma… well, not that you’re a “Momma”, but the proud part! Thanks for sharing such a special side or your boy!
Wow. He didn’t fall far from the tree.
ah yes. Like father like Son. You know he never performed in Toledo after writing that song.
A picture taken of me today at the art gallery would have shown me pantomiming wrapping 30 yards of fabric around a retractable piece of wall. A picture of me taken this weekend might have looked eerily similar, except I would have been dressed as Crybaby Walker. I cannot say my parents would be very pleased with either.
I love it when parents are proud of their kids – and you sure have a son of whom you can be very proud! Smart, works hard, and knows how to have a good time, too!

Do they require flip flops in the lab?
I think you should grow a beard, show the lad how it’s done…
Hoping that they’re correct when they say there is no such thing as a stupid question (just stupid people asking them)… what is your son doing in the weekend photo ? I don’t want to say what comes to mind for fear of offending…
Nice beard!
Reminds me of my son—if he ever graduates! Scientist by day, having too much fun anytime else.
The outfit he’s wearing in the second photo just kills me! hehehe
…one of the few reasons I miss Texas : )
I bet he borrowed that 2nd outfit from you.
Wo…two faces of Jordan…you weren’t kidding…looks like he knows how to have fun!!!!
So he’s a scientist Monday thru Friday and a dancing pimp during his off hours?
Cool!
Hahahahaha! I just saw this. Thank you very much for that, Dad.
To answer a couple of questions:
That there’s the teaching lab for undergraduates. They’re verboten from flip-flops. I, on the other hand, get to do what I want.
In the second picture I’m “dropping it like it’s hot” at the Nike Women’s Marathon afterparty where my wife ran with Team in Training (who’s colors are purple and green) to support cancer research. I was…cheering.
I am certian there is a far more scientific explanation for what Jordan is doing in that second picture but it is probably top secret.
What a great post! You ROCK!!! Great Dad and a great Son!!!
Smiles!!!
hilarious. I’m always amused at the insanity people can generate when they’re motivated.
I like beards…especially on men! Great pics of your son and I’m not even going to ask about the 2nd photo.
In that second picture, your son kinda looks like an Amish man in drag…..

Wait…not that anyone other than Elton John would wear that. Oh wait, Yes, Drag.
SURE, he’s a neuroscientist! And I’m a mailman!
Time for an update. Anxious to hear what’s going on in LaBouffland!
