    YOU STAY CLASSY, SAN DIEGO

We are back from our mini vacation in San Diego. Or rather I should say…I’m back. I left my wife out there to attend a dental convention while I’m now back at the office slaving away on an Xanga post.

I got a new digital camera just before the trip so I’m going to make you endure the trip in pictures (If you came to my house you’d have to endure a slide show, so feel lucky):

We stayed in a hotel that dates back to the mid 1800’s…very cool.

The hotel was in the “Gas Lamp Quarter” of San Diego which is very reminiscent of the French Quarter in New Orleans.

We had a little beach time.

    And a little museum time.

We went on a fabulous dinner cruise.

We also went to see the worlds largest outside organ. I was always under the impression that I had the world’s largest organ, but apparently this isn’t the case.

You can’t go to San Diego without a trip to the zoo.

And in conclusion…they sat at the bar and put bread in my jar, and said “Man, what are you doing here?”

I got this quiz from Primeval Wench

    Your Political Profile:

  • “Sing me a song, you’re the piano man……..” Hey, where’s the pictures?

  • Oops, I spoke too soon! There they are! Great pics, looks like you had a wonderful time. World’s largest organ, uhhhh………okay, if you say so.

  • Did you make it to Sea World?  I’ve actually been there, because my aunt keeps a pass on hand for anyone who comes to visit.

It sounds like you both had a wonderful time.  Now, about that organ.  You said you saw the world’s largest OUTSIDE organ.  Yours is INSIDE your pants, hopefully, so you may still be a winner, lol!

  • Looks like you had a great time, Dad!

You know, I’m not too old to be drawn into a vacation…

  • RYC: I found the one I want on tattoofinder.com. It’s under “roses” and is called “butterfly over rose”. It’s not real big and I’m having it put on my ankle. Check out that site, they have everything you can imagine if you are interested in getting a tattoo. Pics of mine will be coming soon!

  • The hotel looks amazing!!!!! Glad you had a good time.

  • That organ is awesome!
Don’t you just love digital cameras?
    Looks like a great time.

  • Love the canopy on the bed. I’d love to live back in that time period, except with a dishwasher, blow dryer, antibiotics….oh, crap, maybe I better rethink that.

    World’s largest organ…haha!

  • yea.. i miss yacc and everyone there, so i’ll definately stop in!

  • Loved the old hotel.  Middle Daughter lived near San Diego for a while.  I loved to visit her there.

  • Mark…first off let me tell you how great you guys look in those pics.  You two are the inspriration behind my losing weight…and for that I thank you.  When I saw you guys a few weeks ago I was very impressed.  You two and Patti made me make up my mind about weight lose and eating right…so thanks!

I’m glad you had fun in San Diego!!  So I guess that means you guys will come again next year for the family reunion  (wink)

…and last but not least…I took that political survey and guess where I fall…  65% Conservative and  35% Liberal…. heh

  • I love those hippos LOL!

  • Largest organ….hmmm……

  • Looks like a great trip !!  Hope you had a blast.

And the quiz thing confuses me in one regard… the ethics.  To have any at all, wouldn’t one have to test as liberal ?

  • I leave for San Diego tomorrow! Yay!

  •
“We also went to see the worlds largest outside organ. I was always under the impression that I had the world’s largest organ, but apparently this isn’t the case.”

    That made me laugh.

You and your wife look great.

    Glad you had fun.

  • Impressive organ.  But I’ll bet you hear that all the time…

  • RYC: Thank yopu about the header, I might be changing it haq ha, I am soo ADD with my xanga.

  • There is a running joke at the museum in which I work (yay for the museum picture!) because we have an organ from a radio station in one of the galleries and they are working to hook up the pipes so it can be played in the atrium. We want to print t-shirts that read “I saw the Big Organ at the Oklahoma History Center.” I don’t think the executive director is too keen on it

  • RYC: Indeed it would.

  • 3 years of private piano lessons as a kid and I cant even play chopstix!

  • I GOT YOUR GIANT ORGAN RIGHT HERE!

no wait….it’s more like a piano……..I can’t lie……it’s more like a miniature keyboard. There are you happy now? I’m crying in shame.

Glad you had fun in San Diego. I bet that wooden airplane really took you back, back to your high school days. Didn’t you use to hang out with Howard “wearing kleenex boxes for shoes” Hughes?

Ok the old jokes are getting old and I’ve got some video games to play.

  • That San Diego looks pretty exciting… I’ve got to get out and see it sometime (besides just the freeway to work, the freeway to home, and the inside of my office!!). But at least the weather has been georgeous this week.

How Liberal Or Conservative Are You?  ‘fraid I’d be off the chart (which way… that’s probably obvious).
